Director of Marketing

Bluerock is a leading institutional alternative asset management and investment company with $8 Billion in assets under management and 150 employees nationwide and is headquartered in New York, NY. Bluerock has an immediate opening for a qualified, full-time Director of Marketing for its downtown Boise, Idaho office.

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the Company’s brand and dynamic marketing strategy in conjunction with Senior Executive Management and will oversee all aspects of the Company’s digital, event, print, and social media marketing campaigns on a national level.

The successful candidate must have specific experience and capability gained through roles in institutional investment management firms, or broader financial services organizations.  This role should have proven success in effectively managing cross-functionally and delivering projects through multiple teams including, but not limited to: compliance, editorial, graphic and web design, events, national accounts, and sales teams. The right fit for Bluerock’s fast-paced and rapidly growing marketing team will also require a candidate who has effective verbal communication skills, efficient time management abilities, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a team mentality.

Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of progressive management experience in marketing and communications for an investment management firm or financial services organization;
  • A Bachelor’s degree, or higher;
  • Solid understanding of the institutional investment marketplace and its practices and trends;
  • Understand research analysis and draw preliminary insights, conclusions and implications;
  • Superior editing, writing and presentation communication skills with heightened attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to transform complex financial information into plain language;
  • Capable of navigating in dynamic and complex organization environments;
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver), Email Marketing Applications, Microsoft Office, File Management Applications, Salesforce CRM;
  • Working knowledge with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube/Vimeo;
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact and/or related email marketing applications;
  • Proficient knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, CMS (i.e. WordPress), and SEO for email marketing and website updates;
  • Proficient knowledge in WebEx, GoToMeeting, RingCentral and other online webinar applications;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail;
  • Exceptional and effective communication skills; and
  • Experience on both Mac and PC platforms.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute strategic and creative marketing campaigns that elevate and promote all elements of Bluerock’s national brand;
  • Assist in the creation, design, and management of all digital, print, and email/social media marketing campaigns companywide on a national level that highlight corporate and investment initiatives that ultimately drive sales and events;
  • Effective team management and collaboration that leverages the expertise of a dynamic team that includes: compliance, events, digital marketing, corporate development, graphic design, investment research, web design and management strategies while measuring impact and standards;
  • Develop and own a wide variety of marketing materials and external-facing product content (e.g. pitch books, marketing materials, investment kits, value-add content) to support sales and relationship management teams;
  • Establish and maintain Bluerock marketing collateral, branding and marketing guidelines;
  • Manage budget; and Responsibility, accuracy and accountability on every project.

Digital and Social Media Marketing Specialist

Bluerock is a leading institutional alternative asset management and investment company with more $7 Billion in assets under management and 150 employees nationwide and is headquartered in New York, NY. Bluerock has an immediate opening for a qualified, full-time Digital Marketing and Social Media Specialist for its downtown Boise, Idaho office.

The Digital Marketing and Social Media Specialist will have lead responsibility for a variety of digital marketing-related tasks which include, but are not limited to: email marketing, social media, host webinars, and support other marketing related projects and tasks. This position will be a member of the team that leads marketing and communications activities to wholesalers, broker-dealers, financial advisors, and prospective investors at a national level.

The candidate must also be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, operate independently and complete projects as needed with minimal direction. The right fit for Bluerock’s fast-paced and rapidly growing marketing team will also require a candidate who has effective verbal communication skills, efficient time management abilities, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a team mentality.

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ year experience in digital and social media marketing;
  • Four-year degree in communication, design, or marketing preferred;
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver), Email Marketing Applications, and Microsoft Office;
  • Working knowledge with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube/Vimeo;
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact and/or related email marketing applications;
  • Must have knowledge in email creation with respect to media responsiveness, image resolution, sizing, and email clients;
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, CMS (i.e. WordPress), and SEO for email marketing and website updates;
  • Proficient knowledge in WebEx, GoToMeeting, RingCentral and other online webinar applications;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail;
  • Strong design skills including layout, typography, and production;
  • Ability to materialize mock-ups from scratch, with a high sense of style, or manipulate existing materials/files with high attention to detail;
  • Exceptional and effective communication skills; and
  • Experience on both Mac and PC platforms.

Responsibilities: 

  • Create, design, and manage all email/social media campaigns companywide on a national level;
  • Under the direction of senior creative staff, assist in the design and production of a wide variety of marketing materials highlighting corporate and investment initiatives;
  • Create email marketing concepts with respect to the Bluerock Brand Guidelines;
  • Maintain and track: email templates, opens, click-through, hard/soft bounces and other analytic data;
  • Support with webinars: scheduling, email campaigns, and hosting;
  • Compose and produce work in a fast-paced environment where speed and accuracy are required; and
  • Responsibility, accuracy and accountability on every project.
