Randy Anderson Named President of Bluerock Real Estate; As Firm Continues to Expand Senior Executive Talent

Investment management firm Bluerock Real Estate announced today that it has named Dr. Randy Anderson as President. Dr. Anderson joined Bluerock in March 2012 as a Managing Director and Chief Economist.

Prior to Joining Bluerock, Dr. Anderson was a Founding Partner of Franklin Square Capital Partners, where he helped pioneer the industry’s first non-traded Business Development Company (BDC) for retail investors. “In Randy, we have a rare blend of business acumen and genuine academic rigor, and we are excited to have him onboard as we continue to grow our senior executive team” says Ramin Kamfar, Bluerock’s Founder and CEO. “Randy has a unique talent for understanding the needs of individual investors and for creating efficient ways to deliver new investment products for them. He is already creating a foundation for his next successes here, both in terms of new product development and his approach to driving Bluerock’s business for the future.”

Dr. Anderson holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Alabama. He is a co-editor of the prestigious Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, and has published more than 65 peer reviewed articles in leading academic journals. Most recently, he wrote the course on non-traded REITs for the IPA (Investment Program Association). Dr. Anderson’s academic background also includes serving as the Howard Phillips Eminent Scholar Chair at the University of Central Florida where he built a world class undergraduate and graduate real estate program.
